I just learned that former radio host Jan Mickelson passed away last night.

He was on WHO Radio (1040 AM in Des Moines) from 1988 until 2015 after having a stroke. He tried to come back briefly after that, but ended up retiring.

I’ve missed hearing his voice on the radio.

He was a one-of-kind radio personality, and I always appreciated Jan's perspective …
