Issue polling is fickle
I don't trust The Des Moines Register's polling on school choice, issue polling results vary depending on how a question is phrased.
They state that 52 percent of Iowans now oppose using public funds for private or home education, and 41 percent favor it.
The pollsters asked Iowans if they supported using "funds for public schools to help parents pay costs of non-public schools or homeschooling for grades K through 12."
They also noted that half of Iowans with children under the age of 18 also opposed the measure, while 46 percent favored it.
Issue polling is fickle. It really depends on how you phrase a question.
